What Rig does not replace
Positioning beats feature lists. Rig is not trying to be Cursor, Herd, Docker Desktop, or GitHub.
It discovers, starts, stops, and watches the processes those tools leave running. MCP makes that state visible to agents. Continuity syncs setup, never source.
If you need a container host, use Docker. If you need PHP, use Herd/Valet. If you need an editor, use the one you like. Put the board next to them.
