Connect editors via ACP

Rig Cloud speaks Agent Client Protocol (ACP) so editors like Zed and JetBrains can ask about your fleet — status, devices, Mesh, and support tickets — without pasting dashboards into chat. This is not NodeBB’s admin panel, and it is not MCP.

What you can ask

• status / health — public Rig Cloud status
• devices / fleet — enrolled Macs (needs a Rig developer token)
• mesh — your Mesh network summary
• tickets / support — open support tickets

It is not a coding agent. It will not edit your repo. For local start/stop/logs, keep using Rig MCP.

Fast path: Zed (stdio)

1. Clone or open the Rig monorepo so apps/acp is on disk.
2. Sign in at Account → Security and create a developer token for RIG_TOKEN (fleet questions).
3. Add an agent_servers entry in Zed settings (see Connect Zed via ACP).
4. Open the Agent panel → new Rig Cloud thread → ask “list my devices” or “status”.

Cloud endpoint

Production service: https://acp.userig.app — health at /health, ACP at /acp (HTTP + WebSocket). Cloud connections need the service bearer (ACP_SECRET) plus optional X-Rig-Token / RIG_TOKEN. Walkthrough: ACP setup.
