Rig Mesh vs a typical private network
Mesh is the private network inside Rig. Your Macs reach each other — wake, screen, file sharing, SSH — from the same app that already runs your projects. Rules are sentences: Macs tagged studio can reach trusted on Screen Sharing. You pick the range and the names; moving the range keeps the last part of each address where it can, without adding the Mac again. It is not a browsing VPN and it does not put phones or Linux boxes on the overlay. Both ends need Rig. Wake needs a second Mac awake on the same network to relay the signal. Stay with a dedicated mesh product if you need non-Mac hardware, or with a browsing VPN if you need to appear on another network. Mesh is included on every Rig plan.
