Rig vs terminal tabs
Six terminal tabs and a Procfile is a workflow, not a tool. Rig gives the same processes names, start order, health, merged logs, and memory across mornings. Keep Terminal for one-off commands. Use Rig when the day is the same stack and you want state, port reclaim, crash parsing, and MCP without rebuilding the ritual. You can still open a shell; Rig is for the processes you start every day. Agents get scoped tools instead of a pasteable kill command. If you only ever run one server, tabs are enough. If you run five, Rig is the board.
