rig CLI: run projects from the terminal
The rig binary talks to the local MCP hub so you can start/stop projects without leaving the terminal.
Prerequisites
- Rig installed and open, with the MCP hub running (Connections).
- CLI on your PATH from the app package, or invoke via npm bin aliases (
rig, legacy workbench names).
Common commands
Run commands from inside a project folder, or pass the folder path. A folder Rig does not know yet is added for you.
rig status # list projects
rig up # start this project (also: rig start)
rig stop # stop it
rig restart # restart it
rig logs --lines 100 # recent log lines
rig open # open its local URL
rig health # health check
rig resources # CPU and memory
rig lane staging # switch lane: local, staging or production
Exact subcommands follow the hub tools — if a command fails, start the MCP hub and confirm the token/port in Connections.
