Project handoff (rig.json)
rig.json (and catalog handoff snapshots) capture non-secret project setup: preferred script, lanes, ports, and related prefs — not source and not plaintext secrets.
Export / import
- From the project, export handoff when you want a portable snapshot.
- On another machine, add the repo and import/apply handoff — or use Teleport.
Detect on add
If a folder already contains a handoff file, Rig can apply it when registering the project.
